The scent wafted throughout the air and left him curious. It reminded him of home, when a nearby shop would bake sweet bread every morning. Though once he came upon the source of the scent, he felt his heart practically melt at the sight of the pastry-like dogs that roamed the route. Fritz knelt down and offered his hand out to one as it pranced up to him and gave it a curious sniff before licking at his palm. Oh no, he was in love with this cute little thing! He just had to have one!

Who could resist those delicious aromas and the cute little puppies from which they emanated? After arriving on ROUTE 104, Sansa certainly couldn't. She just wanted to scoop one into her arms and gobble it up! Literally! Thankfully, the CHICKEN BAKE she'd eaten earlier from the local Affordco kept her hunger at bay for now.

Nevertheless, that doesn't keep the astronomer from wanting to make friends with one. So, approaching close with a tasty little poffin cupped in one hand, she crouches down and tries to tempt one close. "Pspspspsps..." She smiles, flanked by her floating GLIMMORA companion all while.

The air smelled distinctly like bread as Ettie stepped out onto the route - and initially, with the young wildchild being completely unawares of the existence of Fidough or Dachsbun, she had found the smell to be quite the puzzling one! The pack seemed to concur with this - a number of them hungrily sniffing the air (Princess especially) as they tried to track down the source of the smell... Only to come upon another pack, one of odd - yet cute - canid pokemon she'd never seen before!

Elio LOVED baking! More than anything else when it came to cooking. Something about it was therapeutic, relaxing, even. From making the dough and fillings to the finished product - he absolutely adored it. A part of him wondered if dachsbuns were actually made of bread? Or did they simply LOOK like them?

Elio realized the Paldean pokemon gave him an idea! It was time to make some pretzels and maybe some funnel cakes in the shape of the pokemon! Genny would probably think they're adorable. Well, second to actually catching one and giving it to her of course! ...It was time to attempt and catch one of these doughy dogs!

It was like being back on the streets of Alto Mare.

Scents of freshly baked pastries reminding Angelo of when the sun was just beginning to peek through the narrow streets and canals, making the flaky paint on the buildings brighten, revitalised in the sunrise.

Smells like this was reminiscent of when the tiny riverside cafes begin to serve their first rounds of espresso and brioche to hungry patrons. 

Guided by nostolgia, Angelo throws a pokeball.

Nomi had been so focused on setting up the radio, she almost missed the frolicking Dachsbun. It was only when it nearly crashed into her, causing Val to let out a protective growl, that she looked up from fiddling with her device. The canine Pokémon wagged its tail at her expectantly, totally ignoring the Sylveon that was about to bite its head off.[break][break]
Nomi waved Val back, observing the Dachsbun with a curious expression. She had come to Route 104 looking for Unown; to find a Paldean Pokemon roaming around instead was unexpected, but not undesired. "You're pretty cute," she decided. For some reason, its ears reminded her of CINNAMON BUNS. She made a mental note to get some later, perhaps tomorrow for breakfast.[break][break]
She took out a Pokeball and threw it; she'd been meaning to figure out exactly how - and why - some Pokémon seemed so intent on mimicking human food...[break][break]

Her Sprigatito would walk with her down by the beach area of Route 104 where the ocean air felt calming to both the kitten and his trainer though there was a swarm of the pastry-like dog Pokemon around the sand. Their appearance made a small reminder to the royal that she always made a visit to the local Galarian bakery around Mauville in the morning to buy bread for herself and her Pokemon. [break][break]

Zorro wanted to play with the wild dog Pokemon as the Sprigatito went to play with one of the little Fidoughs. The royal would toss a Pokeball at one of the swarming dog Pokemon where she hoped they couild be a good team member to do battles with.[break][break]

Zev strolled down Route 104 with his shiny Lycanroc, Luna, appreciating the exercise, fresh air, and — most importantly — the solitude. In the past couple of weeks, he'd spent a great deal more time around other people than he liked. He hoped a walk in the countryside somewhere would ease his agitated nerves.[break][break]

He was thinking about getting the SANDWICH he'd brought for a snack out of his backpack when Luna's ears perked up and her tail stood up straight.[break][break]

"What?" he demanded, blue eyes scanning the field. She barked in response but did not take her eyes off of something in the distance. The wheat rustled as it parted, revealing a family of Fidough and Dachsbun.[break][break]

Zev's eyes widened. He'd heard of the Paldean Pokémon but not had the opportunity to see them in the flesh. Not about to let them get away, he threw a Pokéball.[break][break]

Food based Pokémon were always a bit weird to her. And Dascbun and its bread looking evolutionary line was no exception. Nevertheless a Swarm did warrant some looking at.

And so Johanna had arrived here, ready and willing to engage in combat with the Pokémon. And it didn’t take long before she found some troublemakers that needed dealing with.

And Claydol was all too eager to do it. Having not had a proper good wild battle in forever. Honestly it went to baking this Bread with such vigor that had Johanna not stopped it, the dough would’ve been charcoaled.

Either way, with the battle quickly over, she threw a Pokéball and hoped.

Callan kneeled down by a pack of Fidough as he handed each of them a Sitrus Candy and observed their appearance.

Arceus was a cruel designer when he created this creature, emitting such a pleasant, edible aroma while simultaneously making it adorable.

Callan wondered why it wasn't extinct yet. He was half tempted to capture one just to eat it like a loaf of sourdough. Were they not treasured for their farming capabilities and food making properties, he imagined they'd have long been extinct.

A report of a new canine like pokemon has spread like wild fire throughout the region. And like everyone else who wants to get their hands on the newest little pup, Maverick was quick to follow up on this report. Crimson colored orbs flickered over the blue ocean that stretched for miles on end before him. Despite the cooler temperatures of winter still lingering, the beach was already ready for summer.

It didn’t take long for the burnt scarred man to find the swarm, observing from afar for a few hours to learn more about this new species of dog. It looked tough despite its taste pastry looking exterior. A low growl rattled his ear drums, gaze shifted to his massive six foot seven hell hound who seemed not to fond of this new canine. “Easy girl,” he mumbled in a low tone, gaze back on the swarm, “I kind of want one. Let’s go check it out.”

Moving in to get a better look, the oddly light colored one spotted them. To be fair, two all black figures did stick out like a sore thumb. It snarled at them, causing the rest of the swarm to be alert of his presence. “On guard Azula,” the man ambled darkly, putting his hands up with an empty sphere in hand. Azula snarled back, baring her pearly whites at them in hopes to intimidate them. The tanner colored one step forward, ready to fight.

Taking in a deep breath, Azula muzzle burst open and sent a blast of fire at the one. Unexpectedly, the creature took the fire attack head on. And to Maverick’s disbelief, the canine seemed unfazed by the fire at all. In fact, it only stood taller as the rest of the swarm hide behind it. The ex gym leader cursed under his breath, really wanting one of these canines now. “Fire won’t work. Sludge bomb.”

Azula didn’t hesitate, muzzle parted to send out multiple balls of toxic sludge at the canine swarm. The canine’s scattered, poison apparently not something they liked. But before they could flee, the land launched a ball through the air in hopes he could catch one of them. Any of them. It didn’t matter. He just wanted one.
